Seriously.nbsp; I know I’m a fuckoff.nbsp; You know, you throw me shit, I’m going to throw shit back.nbsp; Throw me something worthwhile, I’ll fucking step up an kick back decisive logical perfection.

But, no.nbsp; I guess it just doesnt’ fucking matter around here, because no one gives a damn, but they say they do, and they “discuss” every issue or point that could be a growth item to fucking DEATH, killing the opportunity, killing the ideas, and making all the energy put into a project or idea a big waste of effort.

They won’t have any problems when I leave, they don’t have any problems when anyone leaves, because me and my friends here fucking put the best effort forward, and our shit don’t suck.nbsp; But when they replace our positions with monkeys in a month, they’ll fuck themselves good, and not have any idea why things that used to just happen and work fine don’t anymore.

Example:

$150 a month for one company to respond to emergency elevator call box calls.nbsp; Company used to service this facility, or something, but since they never got paid years ago, they won’t do business with us.

$200 a month for Otis, a respected elevator company who’s HUGE in town, to both answer emergency elevator calls, BUT ALSO do scheduled elevator maintenance, and they’re happy to have our business.

Decision:nbsp; go with the $150/month company.

“But, they won’t do business with us, Otis will be out tomorrow to make everything go, we keep our permit when inspected this friday at 10:00am.nbsp; Other company says maybe, they’ll let me know by 5pm tomorrow… how will we POSSIBLY pass inspection?!”nbsp; The response:nbsp; “Don’t worry, we’ll figure it out.”nbsp;

WHAT?nbsp; HOW?nbsp; WHO?

Being the prick I am, I made the decision for them. While they “figure it out” they can loose that permit to allow people to ride the only elevator to the 2nd floor of the Theater to watch shows.nbsp; “Figuring it out” for them will be, yet again, something thats handled magically, that indeed I’ve already executed a contract with the $200/month Otis company.

Then, meeting today of the department heads.nbsp; I always go, because everyone likes to bitch at me about everything.nbsp; There’s no Technical Director, because my friend/boss quit (rightfully so) this week.nbsp; I ask, “Who does your tech crew go to with problems?”nbsp; Answer:nbsp; The producer of one of the shows here, a fucking CLIENT of the room, in all respects.nbsp; Now, sure, I’m a bit peeved, I say, “Uhm, for the week till a new TD is hired, I’m happy to be the focal point for the crew’s concerns and questions.”nbsp; Naw, its okay, the producer guy will do it.nbsp; “Does [the guy] know about this?”nbsp; Naw, don’t worry, we’ll figure it out.nbsp;

WHAT?nbsp; HOW?nbsp; WHO?

Fine, you people blow right past my offer, so be it.nbsp; Let loose the fury of the tech crew upon some asshole that no one here likes or respects, who has reported to us that he’s only here to make sure his show goes, and really doesn’t want to be here at all right now, so please leave him alone.

A month ago, I would just ignore all this indecision and waffling and execute my own resolutions, get no acknowledgement, but be satisfied that shit got done.nbsp; Now, fuck it.nbsp; I’ll pay for it with my sanity, but from here on out, they can fucking “figure it out” on their own.nbsp;

I welcome them to terminate me, my decision is already made.nbsp; Bring it on.nbsp; Next fuckup is on them, I got me a new job at a place that employes intelligent hard working people that I highly respect, and respect me enough to want me within their crew.

    You should walk in and say, “Screw you guys, I’ma going to a better fuckin’ job.”

    Yeah, sounds like the corporate mentality to me.

    I have the same issues at work. I give my best effort and keep various groups and BANKS afloat. I design things and implement them without approval, saving or even making my company money.

    But I am the most under-appreciated person here.

    In fact, showing initiative is actually defined, in corporations, as someone who can agree with policy and make it work faster than the others, not actually FIXING or CREATING anything. I’ve taken the initiative and been called an “impulsive troublemaker who goes around management.”

    Fuck ‘em.

    So now I sit here doing whatever needs to be done but not going out of my way to do anything special anymore, just drawing a large paycheck for surfing the net and playing Tribes whenever I can on the company LAN (and chatting).

    You have a decent work ethic and skills. Go work for Lockheed Martin, Oracle or someone who will pay you nicely for your skills.

  3. You don’t deserve this. When you leave, they’ll need at least 40 people to replace you. Their fucking loss.

    Sounds like it’ll be a fun show!

    The problem is, they don’t trust *anyone* to make decisions – they want all the power and control for themselves. But then they crawl all over everyone’s ass when shit doesn’t happen. “You said you’d make a decision on XYZ and get back to me, but you never did” isn’t a legit response for these fools.

    It’s going to be funny to watch them implode once D and P are both gone.

    It is the right of every person to leave when they are no longer wanted. Sounds like they don’t really want you to me. Why pay someone if you’re not going to trust them to take care of what they are paid to do?
