I worked a number of positions for the show, including live video, stage hand duties, and spotlight operator. The "V" show is a unique and fun technical challenge due to the show's constantly changing set of performers and their requirements. Each night of "V" could have different talent than the previous show, and maintaining quality video, stage, or lighting services is extremely important. Running "V"'s video had me operating three remote robotic cameras via joystick, handling pan/tilt, zoom, and focus control with one hand, while the other mixed sources from those three cameras, computer, and tape. Running the show's video would have been best performed by two people, however I am able to execute the show flawlessly thanks to quick timing, clear communication with stage hands, and skillful mastership of the robotic camera controls and mixer. ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) |
